The BVGA August 2016 newsletter is now available. This month it features our new recruits, WindEurope presentations and much more. You can read it it full here
It’s always good to be reminded of achievements and offshore wind has seen a couple this month. First, construction is complete at Block Island (30MW), the first offshore wind farm in the US. Second, in the UK, Hornsea II (1800MW) has gained consent. This is likely to become (for a time) the world’s largest wind farm. Both of these announcements will for sure prove a catalyst for much more activity.
It is also heartening to see renewable energy in general being reported as a sensible economic alternative to other traditional generation technology, not just as the right environmental alternative.
It’s a great time for the renewable energy business, especially for wind and marine sectors.
