National offshore wind marine spatial plan in the Philippines

Marine spatial plan in the Philippines

Overview

The Government of the Philippines commissioned BVGA to develop a tool for a marine spatial plan in the Philippines.

This was to guide the development of offshore wind as part of the energy transition. We led a consortium including DivinaLaw, Royal HaskoningDHV, and The Biodiversity Consultancy. The resulting tool lays the foundation for a nationally adopted cross-sector offshore wind spatial plan. It and marks a pivotal step in the country’s clean energy journey.
