Companies in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire can use our offshore wind expertise, thanks to our work with Green Port Hull through the Green Port Growth Programme’s Business Support strand. With funding through the Government’s Regional Growth Fund we share our insight and deliver practical advice in a series of workshops for local companies. These cover understanding the offshore wind supply chain, how to market your business in renewable energy and how to win business in offshore wind. Green Port Hull also fund one-on-one in-depth support for individual companies to understand and make the most of any offshore wind business opportunities.
The Green Port Hull vision is to establish Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire as a world-class centre for renewable energy, creating wealth and employment for the region. By taking advantage of its prime location in relation to offshore wind projects in the North Sea, the region is perfectly placed to capitalise on the UK’s offshore wind opportunities.
Working closely with the Green Port Hull team, we developed and delivered a series of workshops covering key topics in offshore wind. In these workshops, we shared our expertise into the offshore wind industry, including ‘real world’ insight and practical advice for attendees. These workshops included sharing our knowledge of the different types of renewable energy, how to market your business in renewable energy and understanding the offshore wind supply chain. By attending the workshops and getting other help from Green Port Hull , local businesses across a number of sectors have been able to understand, plan and execute effective activity to win offshore wind business.
We also helped dozens of companies on an individual level through face-to-face audits and support. We provided tailored recommendations of how companies could target their best opportunities in offshore wind and wider renewables sector.
We also continue to support companies with market and supply chain intelligence every quarter by providing links to supply chain registration sites and providing status updates on upcoming offshore wind projects located in the region.
“The team at BVGA play a pivotal role in our work to help grow and support local companies to win business from offshore wind.
