We enabled our client to quickly understand the key strategic issues in developing Japanese offshore wind supply chain. We achieved this through a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. We identified opportunities and key potential pitfalls to watch out for when progressing their plans. As a result, our client was able to build confidence in how offshore wind in Japan could progress.

A leading offshore wind developer needed understand more about the potential for offshore wind in Japan. In particular, they wanted a strategic assessment of a potential Japanese supply chain. Our experience in offshore wind supply chains and ongoing work in Japan made us the obvious choice for this work.

Our assessment covered each key supply chain area, including ports. Local capability, likely suppliers and potential bottlenecks were all covered. The analysis of suppliers included those able to service the Japanese and the wider regional market.

In addition to our in-house intelligence, engagement with senior Asian supply chain players was used to generate our results.
