Through our work with DECC running the UK Renewables Service, we introduced numerous companies to opportunities especially in the global wind industry and educated Government in what supply chain development in wind could look like.
BVG Associates shaped and won support for the UK’s first national renewables supply chain development service, DECC’s UK Renewables Service. Having run an informal service funded by DECC, we then won the delivery of a three-year service along with Pera.
The purpose of UK Renewables Service was to support the growth of a world-scale UK renewable energy industry by facilitating the entry to the sector of UK companies and inward investors.
We delivered this through direct company support for a wide range of businesses from new entrants to multinational corporations. We supported in many ways including industry and market analysis, workshops, taking delegations to events, one-to-one support, the development of JV opportunities and through conference presentations, articles and technology reviews.
We also led significant outreach activities focused on the aerospace and oil and gas sectors and worked closely with key regional enablers.
