In Recharge’s article Engie and EDP offshore wind JV eyes Japan and Korea, reports on the proposed joint venture between Engie and EDP to target emerging Asian markets. It includes the following quote from Andy Strowbridge: “There should be a strategic benefit of scale for these two businesses of combining forces, although the scale will still be a long way behind their largest competitors. This is no shotgun wedding. The two businesses have a long track record of working together on numerous development and construction projects including in France and the UK, and so appear to have built a relationship of trust on which the JV is founded.”
