As well as Andy, the seminar will include contributions from major players in the emerging US offshore wind industry

The event website describes the session as below:

‘The Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo) is making great strides towards developing Icebreaker, the first freshwater offshore wind project in North America. This six turbine, 20.7 MW project eight miles off Cleveland Ohio in Lake Erie is one of two offshore wind projects being partially funded by the US DOE. This program will bring project developers and experts together to discuss the elements that make Icebreaker the stepping stone to future Great Lakes projects. Topics that will be discussed include: the area’s rich manufacturing and supply chain resources that will stimulate economic development, technological advancements that reduce costs and environmental impacts, and what permitting in the region entails. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn about the next offshore wind project in the U.S and the vision for establishing a vibrant offshore wind industry in the Great Lakes.’
