Great to see that our work with Pale Blue Dot Energy and Abbot Risk Consultants for Scottish Enterprise on Oil and Gas Diversification Opportunities is launched today. The diversification guide and fact sheets are being launched at an event in the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce offices today.
“The Scottish oil and gas supply chain contains a number of truly world-class suppliers and synergy exists beyond oil and gas for these companies to diversify and grow in alternative sectors,” said Alan Duncan (our Scottish supply chain lead). “As well as bringing new approaches and lessons learned from oil and gas into these new sectors, it is a two-way street where lessons learned in these new sectors can be fed back for the betterment of the oil and gas industry.”
Scottish Enterprise’s agency’s Oil and Gas Diversification Opportunities guide highlights the fact that the UK has more offshore wind than any other country, having attracted £10 billion of investment between 2010 and 2015. A further £18 billion will be invested in new projects between 2016 and 2020.
