Andy brings extensive commercial and operational experience in the many aspects of the global energy business, specifically in business development, project finance, EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction)  project execution, operations and industrial footprint.

As Managing Partner with Virginia based Renewable Resources International, Andy is partnering with BVG Associates to provide comprehensive value to the US market for local stakeholders and global new entrants. He is enthusiastic about applying the cost effective European offshore wind learning curve, combined with the mature US oil and gas offshore capabilities, to capture and advance US market opportunities. He is also actively involved in developing effective marine logistic solutions, offering access to cost competitive, Jones Act compliant jack-up installation vessels for the US offshore wind industry.

He has a proven track-record of creating strategic partnerships to accelerate new business opportunities, reliably executing large contracts and growing & re-orienting organisations for global engagement. Andy held executive positions with major multinationals such as ABB, Alstom and GE. Most recently, he has held P&L responsibility for Alstom’s onshore and offshore wind business in North America, followed by heading up GE’s US offshore wind operations with the construction of Deepwater Wind’s Block Island, the first commercial offshore wind farm in the US.

Andy, an American and Swiss citizen, speaks four languages, holds a Master’s in Engineering and Industrial Management (ETH Zurich), an MBA (William & Mary Mason School of Business, Virginia) and pursued various executive education such as INSEAD’s Advanced Management Program. His background includes serving as Chairman of the Board for several renewable energy special purpose companies.
