Andy Logan leads our work on research into the technology, market and supply chain of the wind and marine renewable energy industries. He uses his in-depth engineering knowledge to provide support to our economic modelling, technical and business due diligence, and sector landscaping.
Andy is a detail-focused industry researcher with a strong understanding of renewable energy technology, market and policy. A key area of his work is understanding the impact of technology, innovation and project-specific characteristics on the levelised cost of energy. His knowledge can help you analyse the wider cost-benefit of your project and identify trends over time with innovation and learning.
Andy joined BVG Associates in September 2016 after completing his MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Aeronautics from the University of Glasgow. His studies included a wide variety of advanced engineering disciplines alongside several multidisciplinary group projects involving close links to industry. Before joining BVGA he was an Undergraduate Engineer with the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
He combines a deep technical understanding with strong research capabilities and excellent report writing skills.
Andy is usually based in our Glasgow office but regularly visits clients throughout the UK.
