Charlie manages our cost of energy analysis team and services. He develops and maintains our internal cost models and cost elements of client projects. Charlie is experienced in assessing the levelised cost of energy (LCOE) of offshore wind projects. He provides competitor analyses for major developers to inform offtake bidding strategies. He has also helped governments identify the least cost sites for offshore wind projects. BVGA’s models include bottom-up cost models for both fixed-bottom and floating OSW technologies. He has also conducted LCOE analysis on non-standard projects, such as a small-scale installations and nearshore projects.
Charlie is knowledgeable in offshore wind ports and logistics. Charlie has extensive understanding of floating OSW design and installation logistics. He uses this to model the entire development process, from manufacture to commissioning, from a ports and vessels perspective. Charlie has applied this to help ports develop business cases for floating OSW.
