Leo Bertels is a Managing Consultant at BVG Associates. He delivers projects to clients, including research, analysis, client engagement and developing output. He engages with industry to gain insight into projects, technology, current trends and thinking to help solve our clients most difficult problems. He is involved with activities across the business.

Immediately prior to joining BVGA, Leo was head of the UK Government’s Floating Wind Programme, aiming to scale up and accelerate deployment and foster the development of the sector in the UK. He joined the UK civil service in 2014, where he held several roles including working in the office of the minister for energy and climate change. He joined the UK Government’s renewable power team in 2019, where he oversaw delivery of key policy priorities including the offshore wind manufacturing investment scheme (OWMIS).
