
Neil Douglas
Director
Neil is part of our senior management group and leads our Scottish team. He is also responsible for business development and strategy. He delivers strategic projects for governments, enablers, developers and supply-chain businesses. Before BVGA, he spent 20 years in technical consultancy. He delivered engineering design, project development, due diligence, cost reduction and operational services for an international onshore and offshore wind farm portfolio. Clients also benefit from his experience and knowledge of industry evolution, business development and commercialisation. Neil is passionate about nurturing energising and sustainable teams. He is an ardent believer in increasing diversity in wind energy. He is non-executive director of Scottish Renewables, the Scottish trade body for renewable energy
He is passionate about helping clients meet their challenges by understanding their business and ensuring projects are cost-competitive. Making time for client discussions and meetings, both in and out of the office is always the top priority for Neil.
Neil joined BVGA after many years in Natural Power and holds a Masters in Energy Systems and the Environment from the University of Strathclyde.
Although officially based in Glasgow, Neil spends a considerable amount of time at client locations and relevant industry conferences across the globe.
