Senior Consultant, BVG Associates (2024 to present)

Victor is part of our strategy consulting team. He delivers offshore wind business strategy projects, leveraging his deep understanding of the global offshore wind landscape and supply chain dynamics. He has managed multiple market entry projects, including for major industrial groups interested in the opportunities arising from the floating offshore wind market. Victor also contributes to the development of our in-house cost model and operational analysis tools. As part of our asset management activities, he works with SCADA data to deliver insightful reporting and analysis on operational wind farm performance. This is complemented by regular discussions with the operations and maintenance (O&M) teams.

Victor graduated from a MSc in Offshore Wind Energy from the University of Strathclyde. As part of his Masters’ thesis, he developed an offshore wind (OSW) farm O&M KPIs assessment tool. Clients benefit from his ability to combine his deep engineering skills with a strategy consulting mindset, resulting in clear solutions to complex technical problems. Victor is fluent in French and English.

UK-leading concrete and aggregates supplier: wind energy market entry study

Victor was project manager for this strategic analysis. He provided the client a detailed understanding and sizing of the market for concrete across the onshore and offshore wind sectors in the UK and Ireland. His robust analysis and recommendations enabled strategic decision making regarding the client’s market entry strategy.

International engineering firm: Business strategy support for the commercialisation of a wet storage solution for the floating offshore wind market

Victor was project manager for this business strategy project. He delivered an analysis of the most suitable commercialisation route and ownership model for our client’s product. He also developed an implementation strategy highlighting our recommendations of actions to successfully bring the product to the market.

International renewable energy asset management fund: wind project portfolio concentration risk analysis

Victor delivered an analysis of the technology and commercial risks in the client’s wind portfolio. This used a review of the turbines’ major components and the financial performance of the turbine suppliers.

International electric utility company: reorganisation strategy of the operational branch of a major energy utility

Victor was project manager for this strategic analysis. He provided the client with recommendations on how to improve the organisation of the operations, maintenance, and servicing resources of its renewable energy portfolio. .

United Kingdom, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office: UK offshore wind supply chain brochure

Victor was project manager for this work. The client required a brochure to exhibit the capability of the UK offshore wind supply chain to Asian markets. Victor delivered the project, including supplier identification, industry engagement and design of the brochure.

Industrial Technology Research Institute: Value based decisions operations analysis model

The client required a model to explore the prioritisation of offshore wind operating initiatives. Victor developed a Microsoft Excel™-based model, incorporating three different wind farm case studies, using realistic reliability and operating cost data. .

Offshore Wind Growth Partnership: supply chain company expert support, Wind Expert Support Toolkit (WEST)

WEST supports the growth of new and existing offshore wind supply chain companies by providing needs-focused expert business support, market intelligence, and insight into the sector. Victor is part of the WEST programme delivery team. To date he has enabled four companies to develop strategies for their offshore wind business.

Drumlin Wind Energy Co-op: due diligence on EWT wind turbine project

The client was in the final investment decision stage for the replacement of the existing turbines at three of its sites with EWT DW54-250 turbines. Victor delivered the due diligence report, highlighting technology and contractual risks associated with the project.

Multinational marine technology company: ecosystem of data solutions for project development. The client required an analysis of data acquisition solutions in offshore wind farms. Victor provided insights on market size, trends, and competitive landscape for bird and mammal, fish and shellfish, and benthic data

Floating offshore wind project developer: Auction Round 6 (AR6) Supply Chain Plan support

Victor was project manager for this project. He worked with the developer’s inhouse teams to prepare evidence in support of its supply chain plan. The plan was approved by the UK’s Department of Energy Security and Net Zero as part of the AR6 submission.
