Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has an interesting wind resource on the landlocked Caspian Sea, with complex logistics and supply chain challenges. Our Offshore wind roadmap for Azerbaijan is playing a key role in helping government explore offshore wind energy to diversify its energy mix beyond oil and gas. Following the publication of our work, several international energy firms are investigating developing offshore wind projects in the country.

L

Bangladesh

Although with limited wind resource, onshore and offshore wind are likely still to play a role its clean energy future. We are working to help the Bangladesh Government explore offshore wind energy as part of its efforts to reduce dependency on imported fossil fuels, and to help build technical capability in onshore and offshore wind within key government agencies.

Bermuda

Located well into the Atlantic Ocean, the Bermuda platform offers valuable shallow-water access to local wind resource. Our work with Greenrock has helped drive Bermuda’s plans to use offshore wind to reduce its reliance on imported fossil fuels. The small scale of any project and logistics challenges from being so far from established markets has needed our supply chain understanding, creativity and contacts to address.

L

Japan

As an Island nation, Japan has vast, mainly floating, offshore wind resource which it is exploiting to diversify its energy sources. We have provided marine spatial planning, market assessment, cost reduction, supply chain and policy advice to the Government and a range of other clients in Japan, including in support of business growth in other offshore wind markets. Our long-term partnership with Mitsubishi Research Institute is important to us in delivering maximum value to Japanese clients and helps deliver projects in Japan.
