Overview
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) sought to provide support to Government of South Korea in achieving Korea’s 2030 targets for offshore wind deployment.
The FCDO commissioned BVGA to identify the barriers to South Korea’s offshore wind. The study focused on local obstacles and lessons learned from established markets. The UK’s experience as one of the world’s most successful offshore wind markets was especially relevant.
We delivered a detailed examination of the UK’s regulatory frameworks evolution. The study also explored other emerging Asian offshore wind markets. This created a regional context for understanding that approaches worked elsewhere
