Offshore wind education

Overview

To strengthen support for UK offshore wind exports, the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) commissioned BVG Associates to deliver tailored offshore wind education for its Asia-Pacific (APAC) trade advisory teams.

As part of this offshore wind education, we designed and delivered a series of five two-hour online workshops. These improved the understanding of offshore wind among FCDO APAC civil servants. The sessions included industry overviews and market-specific deep dives. They covered topics such as project development, policy, and UK opportunities. Each workshop included curated training materials on UK supply chain capabilities.

The offshore wind education and training empowered regional teams to engage with stakeholders, recognise local offshore wind potential, and promote UK expertise abroad.
