This had to be an independent, expert assessment of the group’s acquisition risk. The assessment needed to cover market position, revenue and the market outlook.
We conducted a comprehensive review of the vendor’s documentation This included market forecasts, revenue projections and competitive positioning. This involved analysing commercial and political due diligence reports, and financial models .
We conducted an analysis of the wind industry’s environmental services market by forecasting global capacity. This allowed us to estimate the vendor’s addressable and serviceable markets. This broke down expenditure by service line, project phase and geography.
Our work also included competitor and customer analyses, and an overview of contract structures. We highlighted risks and opportunities, and validated through engagement with industry stakeholders.
We worked with the buy-side advisory team and the investor’s management team to address uncertainties and reach a clear position on the potential of the acquisition target. This gave the investor a robust analysis of both opportunities and risks to proceed with its investment.
