Overview
The Scotland’s Sector Deal for onshore wind commitment to delivering at least an additional 12 GW of onshore wind capacity by 2030.
To support this effort, we worked with SR to help shape and guide the development of the Sector Deal. BVGA played a critical role at each stage of the process. We worked with stakeholders to define the vision that would underpin the entire deal. This served as a foundation for aligning government and industry perspectives.
In the second phase, we wrote the outline content of the Sector Deal. This document fostered robust and inclusive discussions, ensuring that principles and priorities were understood. The finalised Scottish Onshore Wind Sector Deal was published in September 2023, a significant milestone for Scotland’s onshore wind sector.
