Overview
The Guide to an Offshore Wind Farm was first developed by BVG Associates for The Crown Estate and Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult in 2010.
The Guide to an offshore wind farm supports new and existing stakeholders by explaining the full offshore wind farm lifecycle. It covers development and installation through to operations and decommissioning. It includes descriptions of over 150 components and processes. Indicative suppliers and cost information are also included. Development was in collaboration with industry stakeholders. The guide reflects up-to-date practices and terminology while remaining accessible.
Now recognised as a flagship industry resource, the guide has users across the globe. Its success also led to the creation of a floating wind version.
